Volunteer Opportunities
Are you a surgical, medical, or dental professional interested in partnering with Access Health Africa?
You can travel to Malawi and work directly with patients and local healthcare providers to make a real difference!
AHA builds complete teams that work in Malawi’s referral hospitals and rural community hospitals to fill a gap left by an understaffed and under resourced healthcare system.
AHA will:
assist volunteers in registering with the Malawi Medical Council prior to departure from your home country.
provide informational materials on Malawi’s healthcare system, your specific volunteer opportunity, and cultural information.
provide room and board in our spacious dorm-style house in Area 3 in Lilongwe, Malawi’s capital city.
provide in-country transportation to and from the airport as well as to and from the project site each day.
To offset project costs, volunteers are asked to donate a pre-determined amount based on the project length and complexity.
